Extreme Cowboy Coastal Challenge

Extreme Cowboy Competition 9 am to 5 pm

An Extreme Cowboy event challenges both horse and rider to maneuver through a series of obstacles demonstrating both horsemanship and speed.

Spectators are Free.  Food Trucks will be Available.

Free Rein Foundation’s Extreme Cowboy Race consists of obstacles such as water crossings, moguls, side-pass, three-steps, bridges, back-thru, jumps, and other exciting obstacles.
Horsemanship with speed provides an exciting event for competitors and spectators.

Walk For Horses 3K – November 3, 2019

Feel the earth under your feet, enjoy nature with your family, and help rescued horses who heal humans in Huntington Beach!

Comfortable Shoes (preferably sneakers or boots for walking) dress in layers; some may prefer to cover their legs as there is brush surrounding the trail.

Events are open to the public.

Activities include brushing and hugging our rescue horses.

NATIONAL DAY OF THE HORSE – December 13, 2019

National Day of the Horse is observed annually on December 13.

National Day of the Horse encourages people of the United States to be mindful of the contribution of horses to the economy, history and character of the United States.

The domesticated horse we know today, also known as Equus caballus was introduced into North America by Spanish explorers. Escaped horses eventually spread across the American Great Plains.
