School Field Trips

Free Rein Foundation offers educational experiences to schools. These field trips provide experiential learning beyond the classroom walls. Students have the unique opportunity to gain insight into the Free Rein herd and interact with a variety of horses. They learn about how horses communicate, what it means to be part of a herd, what they eat, and how they are cared for in our pastures. The donations made for these visits are specifically allocated to the care and feed of our herd. Homeschools, private and public school groups are invited to reach out for more information.

Q&A

Q: Can FRF accommodate children in wheelchairs?

Yes, our facility is dirt and a bit hilly so it’s not easy to move a wheelchair in the pasture, but our dedicated volunteers are available to help. If you are planning on bringing an individual who needs wheelchair assistance, please reach out for us in advance so that we can make sure we have enough volunteers on site to help.

Q: Is it possible to schedule a private Hug & Groom event?

Absolutely, we are happy to accommodate most groups for a small donation that will help feed and care for our horses. Please reach out to let us know what you are interested in.
