Alph is Free Rein’s tallest horse at 17 hands high. He came to our sanctuary in early 2023 malnourished, skinny, lethargic and having untreated Cushing disease and COPD. Once we nursed him back to health with nightly blanketing, oral medication and breathing treatments, he began to fill out and his demeanor became that of a strong gelding.
