Governor II came to us through a Bureau of Land Management round-up in Modoc County. Along with Smoke and Modoc, he was born in 2019 in captivity to a mustang mare who had been gathered during the round-up while pregnant. After receiving extensive training and care, he was adopted in 2022 by a dedicated Free Rein volunteer, where he began his next chapter with a new name—Journey.
