Mae was initially rescued from a kill lot in New Mexico. She was adopted in 2018, but was welcomed back to Free Rein in 2024 when her owners could no longer care for her. If the greener pastures don’t work out, Free Rein horses are always welcomed back. Mae is good-natured and is quick to make friends with people and horses.
